Somerton School District No. 11 -

The Somerton School District conducted a tree planting project that involved the submission of a grant through APS Community Tree Program, which was awarded a $5,200 grant. The project was implemented at five school sites,  SMS, DSS, TDS, OGS, and ELC, and was tied to this year's Earth Day observance to provide educational value to the students and community. The district's grounds crew was recognized for their hard work, effort, and dedication in making the project a success. Martin Velasco expressed gratitude for the support and contribution towards the project's accomplishment.
